West face of the Matterhorn at sunset. I shot this from the Dent d'Herens in late May 2017. Just three weeks later the face was almost devoid of snow and we climbed the Zmutt Ridge (with Liv Sansoz and Julien Irilli), the left hand skyline and it was mostly on dry rock! The sun/shade line is the Lion Ridge. It's now shaping up to be one of the driest years on record in the Alps...
